Choose the charge that applies to your deed
Some state taxes use rounded blocks of consideration. Washington uses marginal slices; Hawaii uses a selected whole-value category. Several states charge for recording documents rather than imposing a sale-price tax. Texas publishes a separate basic title-policy schedule. These differences determine which inputs and example results belong on a jurisdiction page.
Finish the settlement budget
Use the mortgage purchase worksheet for financing and loan charges, or the buyer and seller statement to add actual quotes. A statutory tax subtotal does not include missing service fees, reserves or property-tax prorations. The methodology explains quote replacement and cash reconciliation.
